Bio
Originally from the Berkshires of Massachusetts, Melanie moved to North Carolina in 2021 with her family. She has worked with a variety of animals in her life from horses and cattle, to snakes and rabbits. Melanie has been a part of the Brunswick Forest team since July of 2023, and really enjoys being here and especially finds an interest in working with our exotic patients. In her spare time Melanie does everything with her 2 year old boxer, Maverick. You can find them camping, hiking, horse back riding and even grocery shopping, but their favorite pastime is taking a nap together. When she isn’t with Maverick, Melanie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend going for joyrides on his Harley and exploring new coffee and food spots in Wilmington. While at Brunswick Forest, Melanie hopes to strengthen her technical skills and develop more skills and knowledge with the exotic patients.
